TACO PLATE



Ingredients:

1/2 cup cooking oil
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/4 cup minced garlic
1/2 cup MONTEREY GROUND ROUND BEEF
1/8 cup diced green and red bell peppers
1/4 cup tomato sauce
1 tsp light soy sauce
1 tsp crushed chilli flakes
iodized fine salt and pepper to taste
1 pack store bought tortilla chips
1/2 cup seeded diced tomatoes
1/2 cup diced fresh mangoes
200 g green olives, sliced into rings

Procedure:

  1. Pour oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté onions and garlic for 2 minutes. Adjust to high heat and add ground beef. Sauté for 5 minutes or until beef is cooked.
  2. Add bell peppers, tomato sauce, light soy sauce and chili flakes.
  3. Sauté and simmer for 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
  4. Put tortilla chips on a platter. Add the cooked beef mixture on top of the tortilla chips. Garnish with tomatoes, mangoes and olives. Serve.
Makes 5 to 6 servings.
