MALABON FRIED RICE


Ingredients:

1/3 cup DARI CRÈME CLASSIC
1 (50 g) pc onion, chopped
8 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup hibe (dried shrimps)
5 slice PUREFOODS SWEET HAM, chopped
100 grams Baguio beans, chopped
1/2 cup sauteed shrimp paste (ginisang bagoong)
3/4 (123 g) cup whole corn kernels, drained (reserve 1/4 cup stock)
1 pc finger pepper (siling haba), sliced
7 cups cooked rice
1 (200 g) pc green mango, grated or 1 (200 g) pack pineapple tidbits, drained

Procedure:

  1. Melt margarine in a large pan or wok and saute onion and garlic. Add hibe, ham and Baguio beans.
  2. Add bagoong and then add corn, finger pepper and reserved corn stock. Continue cooking for 3 to 5 minutes more. Add rice and mix well.
  3. Transfer to a platter and serve with grated green mango or pineapple tidbits.

Makes 8 servings. 

Tip/s:

 

  • Rinse or soak dried shrimps/hibe in water for a few minutes before using.
