GLAZED JAMON DE BOLA


Ingredients:

1 (1kg) pc PUREFOODS JAMON DE BOLA
1/4 cup brown sugar
cherries and pineapple slices for decorating

Glaze

1 cup pineapple juice
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp mustard
1/4 cup water
2 tbsp cherry brandy
1/2 tsp iodized fine salt
1 pc bay leaf (laurel)
dash pepper
1/2 cup cornstarch, dissolved in 1/2 cup water
1/4 cup raisins or prunes

Procedure:

  1. Coat top (fatty portion) of thawed ham with brown sugar.
  2. Bake for 15 minutes in an oven or turbo broiler set at 350°F.
  3. Combine glaze ingredients in a saucepan. Cook over low to medium heat until thick, stirring occasionally.
  4. Brush ham with cooked glaze. Decorate with pineapple and cherries.
Makes 10 to 12 servings.
