FRENCH ONION SOUP


Ingredients:

1/4 cup MAGNOLIA GOLD BUTTER UNSALTED
6 pc onions, sliced thinly
6 cups beef broth*
iodized fine salt to taste
pepper to taste
2 tbsp PRIMERA LIGHT BRANDY
1/4 cup chopped parsley

Cheese Toast

3 tbsp MAGNOLIA GOLD BUTTER UNSALTED, softened
3/4 cup grated MAGNOLIA QUICKMELT CHEESE
1 pc French bread, sliced

*1/2 pc beef bouillon dissolved in 2 cups of water

Procedure:

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan. Sauté onions, stirring occasionally until tender and golden. Add broth and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Add brandy and parsley.
  2. Serve in bowls with 1 to 2 cheese toasts.
  3. For the cheese toast, toast bread slices. Set aside.
  4. In a bowl, mix together butter and grated cheese until blended. Spread generously over toasted bread.
Makes 6 servings.
