CHEESE PIZZA COOKIES


Ingredients:

2 cups MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp dried basil leaves
1/2 tsp dried rosemary leaves
1 cup dried oregano leaves
1 cup BAKER'S BEST MARGARINE
2 cups grated MAGNOLIA CHEDDAR CHEESE
1/4 cup cold water

Filling:

1/2 cup pizza sauce
1-1/2 cups grated MAGNOLIA CHEDDAR CHEESE
2 tsp Parmesan cheese
2 tsp breadcrumbs
1/8 tsp dried basil leaves
1/8 tsp dried oregano leaves

Egg wash:

1 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGG, use egg yolk only and beaten
1 tbsp MAGNOLIA FULL CREAM MILK

Procedure:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. In a bowl, put together flour, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, dried basil, rosemary and oregano leaves. With a pastry blender, cut in margarine and blend in grated cheese.
  3. Add water and gather dough into a ball. Divide into 4 equal portions, wrap with plastic wrap and refrigerate.
  4. Meanwhile, put all filling ingredients together. Roll dough between 2 pieces wax paper into 12" x 5" rectangular shape. Spread filling and roll from the longer end like a jelly roll.
  5. Cut into 18 equal portions. Freeze for at least an hour.
  6. Brush egg wash and bake for 15 - 20 minutes.
