BRANDY - LACED TOMATO PASTA SAUCE


Ingredients:

1/4 cup MAGNOLIA GOLD BUTTER UNSALTED
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1-1/2 tbsp minced garlic
1/3 cup chopped white onions
1/4 cup PRIMERA LIGHT BRANDY
1-2/3 cups chunky tomato sauce
1/2 cup chicken stock
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 tbsp shredded basil leaves
2 tbsp grated MAGNOLIA QUESO DE BOLA
2 cups cooked pasta of choice

Procedure:

  1. In a sauce pan, melt butter and add oil. Sauté garlic and onions. Add brandy and simmer. Pour tomato sauce and chicken stock. Mix well. Add tomato paste, basil and cheese. Let simmer for about 10-15 minutes. Let cool.
  2. Pour into jars and keep chilled until ready for use.
  3. Serve with cooked pasta and top with grated cheese.
Makes 2 servings.
