BACON SHOTS


Ingredients:

1 (225 g) pack MAGNOLIA CREAM CHEESE, softened
1/4 cup BBQ sauce
1 (200 g) pack PUREFOODS CLASSIC HONEYCURED BACON, cut in half
2 pc PUREFOODS DELI GERMAN FRANKS, sliced into 1/2 inch rings (8 rings/frank)
1/2 (of 165 g) pack MAGNOLIA QUICKMELT CHEESE, grated

Procedure:

  1. In a bowl, mix together cream cheese and BBQ sauce.
  2. Wrap a slice of bacon around each piece of sausage, extending beyond the edge to create a hollow portion or “bowl’’. Secure bacon with toothpicks.
  3. Fill hollow area with cream cheese mixture and then top with some quickmelt cheese.
  4. Arrange bacon shots side up on a baking tray and bake in oven in the lower part set to 180ºC (356ºF) for 15 minutes until bacon is crispy and cheese has melted.

Makes 5 servings.
(Yield: 16 pc of bacon shots /3 pc bacon shots per pax)

Note/s:

  • Cook in an air fryer set to 165C for 10 minutes or until bacon is crispy and cheese has melted.
  • Can add a slice of jalapeno inside to give a little more heat to the dish.
  • PUREFOODS DELI BOCKWURST or PUREFOODS DELI HUNGARIAN SAUSAGE can be used to replace PUREFOODS DELI GERMAN FRANKS.
