WICKED WITCHY CHICKEN POPS


Ingredients:

1/2 kg MAGNOLIA CHICKEN STATION LOLLIPOPS
1 tsp cayenne pepper
2 tbsp calamansi or lemon juice
1 tsp iodized fine salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
1/4 cup store-bought barbecue sauce
1/4 cup MAGNOLIA GOLD BUTTER UNSALTED
cooking oil, for deep-frying

Garlic Dip

1/2 cup MAGNOLIA REAL MAYONNAISE
1/2 cup MAGNOLIA PURE FRESH MILK
1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
2 tbsp finely chopped parsley
iodized fine salt and pepper to taste

Procedure:

  1. In a bowl, combine chicken, cayenne, calamansi juice, salt and pepper. Mix well and marinate for 20 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, combine cornstarch and flour. Dredge chicken in mixture then deep- fry in oil until golden brown. Drain excess oil on paper towels.
  3. Mix together sweet chili sauce, barbecue sauce and melted butter. Toss fried chicken in this mixture. Serve with garlic dip.
GARLIC DIP: Mix all dip ingredients in a bowl until well blended. Refrigerate until ready for use. Makes 4 servings.
