TURON


Ingredients:

Turon

4 pc saba bananas, each cut into 8 lengthwise
1/4 cup sugar
32 pc lumpia wrappers (6x6 inches)
1 (900 mL) pack GOLDEN FRY PALM OIL

Glaze

1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup MAGNOLIA FULL CREAM MILK
3 tbsp MAGNOLIA DARI CREME BUTTERMILK
1 tbsp black & white toasted sesame seeds (for topping)

Procedure:

  1. Roll saba in sugar. Place every stick of saba on lumpia wrappers. Fold sides and then roll to seal completely.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Fry turon until golden brown. Drain well and set aside.
  3. To make glaze, combine brown sugar and milk in a sauté pan. Simmer for 1 minute and then add margarine. Add turon and toss until fully coated with glaze. Top with sesame seeds.

Makes 8 servings.
