TUNA INASAL STYLE NACHOS


Ingredients:

3/4 cup DARI CREME CLASSIC
1/4 cup achuete seeds
2 tbsp minced garlic
2 (185 g each) cans SAN MIGUEL DEL MAR TUNA IN WATER
1/8 cup calamansi juice
1/2 tsp iodized fine salt
1/8 tsp pepper
150 grams nachos
1/4 cup grated MAGNOLIA QUICKMELT CHEESE
2 tbsp chopped red bell pepper
1 tsp chopped parsley

Procedure:

  1. Melt margarine in a pan and add achuete seeds. Cook over low heat until achuete color bleeds out. Strain and discard seeds.
  2. In the same pan, add back achuete oil and then sauté garlic. Add tuna, calamansi juice, salt and pepper. Cook until heated through.
  3. Arrange nachos on a plate. Top with tuna inasal, cheese, red bell pepper and parsley.

Makes 6 servings.

(Yield: 3 cups inasal mixture/1/2 cup inasal mixture per serving)
