STRAWBERRY CHRISTMAS THUMBPRINT COOKIES


Ingredients:

2-1/3 cups cake flour
2 cups MAGNOLIA GOLD BUTTER
1-1/3 cups sugar
2 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGGS
1 cup colored sugar
1 cup strawberry jam

Procedure:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.  Grease baking sheet. Set aside.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, butter and sugar. Using a pastry cutter, combine mixture until it resembles fine crumbs. Gradually add eggs then continue mixing until it forms a soft dough.
  3. Transfer to a clean bowl then cover with plastic wrap and let rest in chiller for 30 to 35 minutes.
  4. Using an ice cream scooper, scoop out dough and form each into 20-30 gram balls. Roll on colored sugar. Place on baking sheet. Using your thumb, press the middle part of each dough and fill with jam.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Let cool.
Makes 4-5 servings.
