STEAMED CHICKEN WITH ASPARAGUS


Ingredients:

1/2 kg MAGNOLIA CHICKEN STATION BREAST FILLETS, butterflied
200 g asparagus, lower portions peeled and cut into 2
1/2 cup cornstarch

MARINADE:

1/2 cup light soy sauce
1/4 cup sherry
3 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp grated ginger

Procedure:

  1. Prepare steamer.
  2. In a bowl, combine marinade ingredients. Marinate chicken for at least 10 minutes.
  3. To assemble, put asparagus in the middle of chicken fillets and roll. Dredge in cornstarch and place in an oven-proof dish.
  4. Spoon marinade on chicken and steam for 10 to 12 minutes until cooked.
  5. Makes 3 to 4 servings.
