STAR CHICKEN ADOBO FRIED RICE


Ingredients:

1 tub (100 g) STAR MARGARINE CLASSIC, reserve 1 tbsp
2 cups cubed chicken adobo (reserve 1/2 cup sauce)
6 cups cooked rice
4 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGGS, boiled, peeled and sliced
2 tbsp toasted garlic
2 pc (100 g) tomatoes, sliced

Chicken Adobo

1 pc bay leaf (laurel)
1/2 tbsp peppercorns
1 head (52 g) garlic, crushed
1/2 kg MAGNOLIA CHICKEN STATION BREAST FILLETS
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup vinegar
3/4 to 1 cup water
1 tbsp (12 g) STAR MARGARINE CLASSIC

Procedure:

  1. In a large pan or wok, melt margarine. Sauté adobo and then add sauce. Separate half of meat, if desired as topping.
  2. Add rice, some toasted garlic and mix well.
  3. Serve in individual bowls with some meat, egg slices and toasted garlic on top.
  4. To make adobo, combine all ingredients in a saucepan except water. Marinate for 10 minutes. Add water and boil without stirring for 30 minutes. Add margarine. Remove from heat. Drain (but reserve sauce) and cube meat.

Makes 7 servings.
(Yield 7 cups rice (2 cups cubed chicken)/1 cup per serving)

Tip/s:

  • Use preferred chicken parts and shred meat.
  • Add veggies to make into a complete meal.
