SIZZLING SAUSAGE AND MUSHROOMS


Ingredients:

1 tbsp MAGNOLIA GOLD BUTTER UNSALTED
1 (80 g) pc onion, sliced
1 (198 g) can shiitake mushrooms, drained and halved
1 (240 g) pack PUREFOODS DELI BREAKFAST SAUSAGE
1 (6 g) tsp store bought fried/toasted garlic
1 (0.3 g) tsp dried parsley or chopped fresh parsley

Gravy:

2 tbsp MAGNOLIA GOLD BUTTER UNSALTED
2 (15 g) tbsp MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1 cup chicken stock
1 tsp soy sauce
1/8 tsp pepper

Procedure:

  1. To make gravy, in a pan, melt butter and mix in flour until pasty. Cook until lightly browned for 2 minutes. Add stock, while stirring continuously, and simmer for 5 minutes until sauce slightly thickens. Season with soy sauce and pepper.
  2. In another pan, melt butter and sauté onion, mushrooms, and sausage until cooked through. Set aside.
  3. Heat a sizzling plate and add sausage mixture. Pour gravy and top with garlic and parsley.

 

Makes 4 servings.
(Yield: 16 pc & 2 cups sauce/4 pc & 1/2 cup sauce per serving)
