SINGLE POT HAINANESE CHICKEN


Ingredients:

1 (750 g) pack MAGNOLIA CHICKEN 3-WAY GINGER
3 tbsp MAGNOLIA NUTRI OIL COCONUT VEGETABLE OIL
1 pc white onion, quartered
3 stalks lemongrass, use white stalks only and pounded
2 tbsp iodized rock salt
1/2 tbsp white pepper
3 cups uncooked rice
3 cups water

DIPPING SAUCE:

1/2 cup Kecap manis (sweet soy sauce)
1/4 cup chili sauce
1/4 cup store bought ginger sauce

Procedure:

  1. In a pot, sauté chicken in oil for 3 minutes. Add onion, lemongrass, salt, pepper and sauté 3 minutes more.
  2. Add rice and sauté until rice and chicken mixture is well mixed.
  3. Add water and bring to boil. Cover and cook over low heat until rice is tender, about 12 minutes.
  4. Serve with dipping sauces.
Makes 6 servings. Tip/s:
  • Add bok choy to complete meal.
