SAUSAGE AND MASH BRINNER


Ingredients:

1 (200 g) pack PUREFOODS DELI SAUSAGE BOCKWURST
2 cups mashed potatoes

Sweet Onions Gravy

1 (100 g) pc white onion, sliced
2 tbsp sugar
1/4 cup DARI CREME MARGARINE CLASSIC
2 tbsp MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1 cup chicken bouillon cube, dissolved in 4 cups chicken stock (from boiling chicken breast) or water
1 tbsp liquid seasoning
pinch pepper

Procedure:

  1. Make shallow cuts on the sides of the sausage. Grill or pan-fry for 5-8 minutes. Set aside.
  2. Gravy: Cook onions in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat until tender then sprinkle sugar and continue to cook until onions caramelize.
  3. Add margarine and flour. Mix well. Stir in stock, liquid seasoning and pepper. Let simmer.
  4. Assembly: Put mashed potatoes on a serving plate. Top with grilled sausages then pour gravy over. Serve.

Makes 2-3 servings.
