RUSSIAN TEA COOKIES


Ingredients:

3/4 cup (169 g) BAKER’S BEST MARGARINE, softened
1 tsp (4.3 g) vanilla extract
1/2 + 1/3 cup (103 g) powdered sugar
1-1/2 cups (180 g) MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
3/4 cup (128 g) cashew nuts finely chopped

Procedure:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 °F.
  2. In a bowl, combine margarine, vanilla, 1/2 cup powdered sugar, flour and nuts, flour and nuts. Mix until well blended and crumbly.
  3. Form dough into balls, place on ungreased cookie sheets.
  4. Bake in preheated oven for 10 - 12 minutes or until set but not brown.
  5. Remove from cookie sheet. Cool slightly and roll in powdered sugar while still warm.

Makes up to 30 pieces
