REVEL BARS


Ingredients:

2 cups (426 g) brown sugar
2 pc (100 g) MAGNOLIA BROWN EGGS
2 tsp (8 g) vanilla extract
2-1/2 cups (300 g) MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
2 cups (164 g) instant oatmeal
1 tsp (4.8 g) baking soda
1/2 cup (206 g) drained crushed pineapple
340 grams semi-sweet chocolate block, grated
1 can (300 mL) condensed milk

Procedure:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9x13-inch pan with aluminum foil. Grease pan. Set aside.
  2. In a bowl, cream margarine with brown sugar.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition and then add vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, 1 cup oatmeal and baking soda. Mix with margarine mixture. Fold in remaining oatmeal.
  5. Press 3/4 of the mixture at the bottom of the prepared pan.
  6. Spread crushed pineapple and then set aside.
  7. In a double boiler, melt chocolate and then add condensed milk. Pour over oatmeal layer and then top with remaining oatmeal mixture. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool then cut into bars.

Makes 32 pieces.
