Raisin Bread


  1. Mix together bread flour, brown sugar and salt. Set aside.
  2. Dissolved yeast in lukewarm water, add molasses. Set aside.
  3. Combine yeast mixture, milk and whole egg. Add the liquid ingredients to flour mixture and mix until well blended. Add the Magnolia Non-Ref Margarine. Add 1/2 of the raisin and continue kneading until dough is smooth and elastic. Add 1/2 of the raisin, knead for another 2 minutes. Rest for 15 minutes.
  4. Cut into desired weight and form into baston. Put in greased loaf pan. Proof for 2 1/2 hours. Apply eggwash. Bake at pre-heated oven 375F for 25 to 30 minutes.
