PUTO WITH STAR CORNED BEEF


Ingredients:

6 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGGS, separate egg yolks from whites
1-3/4 cups sugar
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
1-1/2 cups water
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp iodized fine salt
2-3/4 cups MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1 (180 g) can STAR CORNED BEEF

Procedure:

  1. In a bowl, beat egg whites at high speed until bubbles are fine. Gradually add 3/4 cup sugar and cream of tartar. Beat until stiff.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine water, remaining sugar, egg yolks, baking powder, salt and flour. Beat until smooth. Fold this mixture into prepared egg white mixture.
  3. Pour or pipe out on prepared muffin pans. Put a teaspoonful of corned beef on top of each puto.
  4. Steam over high heat, with cacha in between layers for 15-18 minutes.

Makes 32 piecs.
