PUREFOODS BACON HONEYCURED, cooked according to package directions then chopped
Dissolve 1 cup sugar over moderate heat to caramelize. Pour evenly on bottom and sides of llanera (leche flan mold or 6 small round molds). Set aside.
Combine milk, condensed milk, sugar, eggs, and dayap in a bowl. Mix until well blended. Strain mixture using a cheese cloth or a fine mesh. Pour into mold/s. Steam for 2 hours or bake in a water bath for 45 minutes at 375°F.
Chill before serving. Unmold by inverting flan onto a serving platter. Top with bacon.
