POUND CAKE BY CHEF BAMBI SY GOBIO


Ingredients:

1-1/2 cups MAGNOLIA GOLD BUTTER UNSALTED, softened
2-1/2 cups sugar
5 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGGS
2-1/2 cups MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1/2 tsp iodized fine salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup sour cream
1 tbsp vanilla extract or any other flavored extracts

Procedure:

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease and flour a tube or loaf pan.
  2. With an electric mixer, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Slowly add eggs.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift flour, salt and baking powder. In another bowl, combine sour cream and vanilla extract.
  4.  Alternately add flour mixture and sour cream mixture into butter mixture. Fold until well combined.
  5. Pour mixture into prepared pan. Bake for 1 hour or until knife inserted in the middle comes out clean.

Makes 10 to 12 servings.
