PORK ASADO


Ingredients:

2 tbsp five spice powder
2 tbsp pepper
2 tbsp finely chopped ginger
3/4 cup light soy sauce
1/3 cup oyster sauce
1/4 cup rice wine
1/2 tbsp sesame oil
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp red food coloring
2 kg MONTEREY PORK LIEMPO (boneless)
4 tbsp honey

Procedure:

  1. Combine ingredients except honey and mix until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Marinate liempo for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  3. Roast over a rack set at 300°F for 15 minutes and brush with honey. Let cool.
  4. When cool enough to handle, slice thinly and serve.
Makes 15 to 20 servings.
