PIMIENTO CHEESE BREAD


Ingredients:

1-1/2 tbsp yeast
3/4 cup water, lukewarm
1/4 cup sugar
1 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGG
1/3 cup STAR MARGARINE
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp dried oregano
4 cup MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1/4 cup chopped pimiento
1/2 cup MAGNOLIA CHEDDAR CHEESE
2 tbsp MAGNOLIA PARMESAN CHEESE

Procedure:

  1. Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup water. Dissolved sugar and salt in remaining water.
  2. Add yeast, sugar and salt mixture to flour.
  3. Knead to make a soft dough.
  4. Place in a separate bowl, cover and let rise until doubled.
  5. Punch down and form into a ball.
  6. Roll into a 9 x 18 rectangle.
  7. Sprinkle half with cheese and pimiento. Roll up and seal properly. Place in greased loaf pan. Let rise until double in bulk.
  8. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle some cheese and spices on top.
  9. Bake at 375 F for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
