PESTO TUNA TOMATO CHEESEMELT SANDWICHES


Ingredients:

2 (180 g) cans tuna chunks in vegetable oil, drained
2/3 cup store-bought pesto
4 pc store-bought Parmesan cheese focaccia bread, sliced in half
1/2 cup MAGNOLIA REAL MAYONNAISE
4 (80 g) pc tomatoes, sliced thinly
1 (160 g) pc MAGNOLIA QUICKMELT CHEESE, grated
1 (30 mL) bottle store-bought tomato-based pasta sauce

Procedure:

  1. Combine tuna and pesto in a bowl. Set aside.
  2. On the bottom half of bread slices, spread mayonnaise. Add tomatoes, tuna-pesto mixture, and cheese. Cover with remaining bread to make sandwiches.
  3. Cook in the oven toaster for 8 minutes or until lightly browned.
  4. Serve with tomato-based pasta sauce.

 

Makes 4 servings.

(Yield: 4 sandwiches, 1 sandwich per serving)
