Ingredients:
1-1/2 | kg | MONTEREY PORK PATA, cut into 8 slices |
1 (100 g) | pc | onion, sliced |
4 | cloves | garlic, chopped |
1/2 | cup | soy sauce |
1 (20 oz) | can | pineapple chunks |
1 | cup | brown sugar |
3 | pc | bay leaves (laurel) |
1 | tbsp | whole black peppercorns |
1 | tbsp | iodized fine salt |
5 | cups | water |
Procedure:
1. In a big pot, combine all ingredients. Slight cover and simmer for 2 to 3 hours over low heat or until meat is very tender.
Makes 8 servings.
(Yield: 8 slices meat/3 cups sauce)
