ORANGE CHICKEN KARAAGE


Ingredients:

1 pack (450 g) PUREFOODS CHICKEN KARAAGE, fried according to package directions

Orange Glaze

9 cloves garlic, chopped (3 tbsp)
2 tbsp cooking oil
1 tsp iodized fine salt
2 pc (600 g) oranges, juice squeezed (1 cup)
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp cornstarch, dissolved in 1/4 cup water
1 tbsp orange zest
1 (5g) stalk green onion, chopped (1 tbsp)

Procedure:

  1. In a pan, sauté garlic in oil over low heat for 1 minute. Add salt then orange juice and honey. Let simmer.
  2. Add cornstarch mixture and stirring continuously. Simmer until thick.
  3. Add orange zest and toss in chicken karaage. Garnish with green onions.
Makes 4 servings
(Yield: 1/2 cup sauce, approximately 12 pieces of chicken/3 pc per serving & about 2 tbsp sauce)
