NO OVEN PIZZA


Ingredients:

2-1/2 cups MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR, plus extra for kneading
1 tbsp baking powder
3/4 cup + 2 tbsp water
1 tsp iodized fine salt
1 tbsp olive oil
6 tbsp store bought pizza sauce
1 (185 g) pack MAGNOLIA QUICKMELT CHEESE, grated
1 (200 g) pack PUREFOODS DELI SCHUBLIG, sliced

Procedure:

  1. In a bowl, combine flour and baking powder. Set aside.
  2. In another bowl, combine water, olive oil and salt. Mix well. Pour over flour mixture and mix by hand or spatula until dough is soft but not sticky. Transfer dough onto a lightly floured surface and lightly knead. 
  3. Divide dough into two. With a rolling pin, roll out each dough portion immediately to a thin round shape to fit an 8 inch diameter non-stick pan. Half cook dough in pan over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes per side. Remove from heat.
  4. Spread sauce onto pizza, and then add half of cheese and sausage. 
  5. Cover pan and cook over low heat for 5 minutes or until cheese has melted. Repeat with remaining dough and ingredients. Slice just before serving.

Makes 8 servings

Yield: Two 8 inch diameter pizza/2 slice per serving

Tip/s:

  • Add fresh basil leaves or some alfalfa sprouts just before serving.
