MUSSELS ROCKEFELLER


Ingredients:

1 kg mussels, washed
1 (200 g) pack store-bought carbonara
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 (160 g) bar grated MAGNOLIA QUICKMELT CHEESE
1 (250 g) pack PUREFOODS CLASSIC HONEYCURED BACON, fried and chopped

Procedure:

  1. Cook mussels in boiling water until shells open. Discard unopened pieces. Cut off beard of mussels and remove half of opposite shell. Set aside.
  2. Prepare carbonara sauce according to package directions. Once cooked, add cayenne pepper. Spoon carbonara mixture on each mussel then sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake in the oven set to 350ºF until cheese melts.
  3. Sprinkle bacon on top of each mussel. Transfer to a serving plate.

Makes 5 servings.
