LONGANISA QUICHE


Ingredients:

2 cups MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1 (225 g) bar BAKER'S BEST MARGARINE
1/2 cup ice cold water

FILLING:

1 tbsp cooking oil
1 (250 g) pack PUREFOODS LONGANISA RECADO, remove casing then crumble
6 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGGS, slightly beaten
1 cup MAGNOLIA FULL CREAM MILK
1 (165 g) pack MAGNOLIA CHEEZEE, grated

Procedure:

  1. Preheat oven at 375°F.
  2. Place flour and margarine in a bowl. Cut margarine into flour until mixture resembles pea-size crumbs. Add water one tablespoon at a time. Form into a ball then roll out until 1/4 inch thick. Divide and line 4 greased quiche pans. Chill and set aside.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan. Stir-fry longanisa until cooked through. Drain and set aside.
  4. Combine slightly beaten eggs with milk. Set aside.
  5. Fill each quiche pan with 1/4 portion longanisa, cheese and milk mixture. Bake for 30 minutes until set. Cool then serve.
Makes 4 servings.
