KOREAN BEEF STEW


Ingredients:

1 kg MONTEREY BEEF SHORT RIBS
1/4 cup honey
1 tbsp + 1 tsp MAGNOLIA GOLD BUTTER UNSALTED, melted
1/2 cup + 2 tbsp soy sauce
1-1/2 tbsp sesame oil
1 pc small onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tbsp chili garlic sauce
1/4 cup rice wine
6 tbsp brown sugar
1 (100 g) pc carrot, sliced
toasted sesame seeds for garnish

Procedure:

  1. Place short ribs into pot and fill with enough water to cover and bring to a boil. Once boiling, remove scum on surface and add honey. Let simmer for about 10 minutes.
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients except carrot and sesame seeds. Mix well. Simmer covered over low heat until beef is tender, about 1-1/2 hours. Add carrot in the last 10 minutes of cooking.
  3. Top with sesame seeds before serving.
Makes 8-10 servings
