HAWAIIAN BURGER


Ingredients:

2 tbsp cooking oil
1 (860 g) pack frozen CHEF’S SELECTION ANGUS BURGER PATTY
1 (160 g) pack MAGNOLIA QUICKMELT CHEESE, sliced into 10
2 tbsp MAGNOLIA GOLD BUTTER UNSALTED
5 pc store-bought hamburger buns, split
5 pc pineapple slices in syrup, drained
1 (100 g) pc large red bell pepper, cut into rings
1 (60 g) pc red onion, sliced thinly
10 pc Romaine lettuce leaves

HAWAIIAN DRESSING

1/2 cup MAGNOLIA REAL MAYONNAISE
2 tbsp teriyaki sauce
1 tbsp honey
1/8 tsp cayenne powder

Procedure:

  1. Combine dressing ingredients in a bowl. Cover and refrigerate until use.
  2. Heat oil in pan. Cook frozen patty for 6 minutes per side. Place 2 cheese slices on top. Transfer to a plate and cover with foil to keep warm. Set aside.
  3. Discard burger drippings from pan and melt butter. Place buns, cut side down and toast for 1 minute or until lightly brown.
  4. To assemble, spread 1 tsp dressing on bottom half of buns, and then top with patty, pineapple, bell pepper, onion and lettuce. Cover with remaining half of buns to make sandwiches.  

Makes 5 servings.
(Yield: 5 pc/ 1 pc per serving)
