FRIED CHICKEN WITH ORANGE SAUCE


Ingredients:

1 pack (1 kg) MAGNOLIA CHICKEN TIMPLADOS FRIED CHICKEN, cooked according to package directions
1 bundle ( 8 g) green onions, chopped (1 tbsp)

Orange Sauce

2 tbsp STAR MARGARINE CLASSIC
4 cloves garlic, crushed
1 slice (5 g) ginger, grated (1 tsp)
4 tbsp powdered orange juice, dissolved in 4 cups (1L) of water
1 tsp iodized fine salt
1 tsp pepper
4 tbsp cornstarch, dissolved in 3 tbsp water

Procedure:

1. In a saucepan, melt margarine.
2. Sauté garlic until slightly browned, and then add remaining ingredients, except cornstarch.
3. Cover and bring to boil. Lower heat and then simmer for 5 minutes.
4. Add cornstarch while stirring continuously until mixture thickens.
5. Serve with fried chicken.

Makes 6 servings.
(Yield: 1 cup sauce/1 pc chicken & 2 tbsp sauce per serving)

Note/s:

  • To cook MAGNOLIA CHICKEN TIMPLADOS READY-TO-COOK FRIED CHICKEN: Thaw chicken. Heat 1-2 cups of cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Coat marinated chicken with breading and deep-fry in preheated oil for 12-15 minutes or until cooked.
  • Alternatively, fried chicken can be tossed with the sauce just before serving.
