FRANKS HICKORY RICE


Ingredients:

1 (100 g) tub STAR MARGARINE GARLIC
1 (90 g) pc white onion, sliced
1/2 cup whole corn kernels, drained
1 cup store bought barbecue sauce, hickory flavor
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 (500 g) pack PUREFOODS DELI BEEF FRANKS, sliced
5 cups cooked rice
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped roasted nuts for garnish

Procedure:

  1. Melt margarine in a pan then sauté onion and corn.
  2. Add barbecue sauce and sugar. Bring mixture to a boil then add franks.
  3. Toss in cooked rice and mix well until rice is well coated with the sauce.
  4. Season with sugar and pepper. Top with chopped nuts before serving.
Makes 8 servings.
