FIESTA HAM WITH PINEAPPLE GLAZE



Ingredients:

1 (1 kg) pc PUREFOODS FIESTA HAM
1/2 cup brown sugar
cloves for decoration
canned sliced pineapples or pineapple chunks for garnish, drained

FOR THE SAUCE:

1 (227 g) can pineapple chunks
1/2 cup brown sugar
pinch ground cloves
1 (240 mL) can pineapple juice unsweetened

Procedure:

  1. Score ham 1 inch apart in a diagonal pattern, cutting 1/3 inch deep. Cover ham with brown sugar and place on a roasting pan or rack. Bake for 15 minutes at 320°F or until sugar dissolves and caramelizes. Remove from pan.  Let cool.
  2. Decorate with clover and pineapple slices. Set aside.
  3. Combine all sauce ingredients for sauce in a blender. Blend until smooth. Transfer to a saucepan. Bring to boil then simmer for 15 minutes or until thick.

Makes 10-15 servings.
