1 (100 g) pc red onion, chopped
6 (20 g) cloves garlic, chopped
1 (1 kg) pc PUREFOODS FIESTA HAM, cubed
1 (300 g) pack marble potatoes, cut in half
1 (330 mL) bottle SAN MIGUEL PALE PILSEN
1 cup beef stock
1/4 tsp iodized fine salt
2 pc bay leaves (laurel)
5 pc black peppercorns
1 (250 g) pc carrot, cubed
1 (100 g) pc green bell pepper, chopped
1 (100 g) pc red bell pepper, chopped


  1. In a pot over medium heat, melt margarine and sauté onion, garlic, and ham until lightly browned.
  2. Add marble potatoes, beer, stock, salt, bay leaves, and peppercorns. Cover and simmer for 8 minutes.
  3. Add carrot and simmer for 10 minutes or until tender. Add bell peppers and simmer for 1 minute.

Makes 8 servings.

(Yield: 2 cups sauce and 6 cups solids/ 1 cup per serving)
