FIESTA HAM AND KANI BAKE


Ingredients:

1 (1 kg) pc PUREFOODS FIESTA HAM, cut into 1 inch cubes
16 pc kani, shredded
1 cup MAGNOLIA REAL MAYONNAISE
2 (235 g each) packs MAGNOLIA CHEEZEE SQUEEZE MILKY WHITE
1/4 cup cane vinegar
2 tbsp sesame oil
2 tbsp sugar
8 cups cooked Japanese rice
1/2 cup salmon or fish roe (optional)
4 tbsp Furikake or Japanese rice topping (optional)
8 pc nori sheets, cut into 4 squares

Procedure:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a bowl, combine ham, kani, mayonnaise, cheese spread, 2 tbsp of vinegar, and sesame oil. Mix and set aside. In another bowl, mix remaining vinegar, sugar, and rice.
  3. On two 11x7.5x2 inch baking dishes, place rice mixture, making sure that it’s compressed and levelled, and then spread the ham mixture evenly.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes or until browned. Top with fish roe and furikake. Serve with nori sheets. 

Makes 32 servings.

(Yield: Two 8x5x2 inch pans/16 servings per pan)

Tip/s:

  • If using an oven toaster, adjust pan size and bake for 5 minutes or until top has browned.
