FIERY CHOCOLATE LAVA CAKE



Ingredients:

150 grams semi-sweet chocolate block, grated
1 (225 g) bar MAGNOLIA GOLD BUTTER UNSALTED, plus extra for greasing
pinch chili pepper flakes
3 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGGS
1-1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1 tsp vanilla extract
powdered sugar for dusting

Procedure:

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F. Grease 6 custard cups with some butter. Set aside.
  2. In a double boiler, melt chocolate and butter over low heat. Add chili flakes and mix well. Set aside to cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk eggs, add sugar and then whisk in chocolate mixture, flour and vanilla.
  4.  Pour mixture into prepared cups. Bake for 14 minutes or until sides are set but center remains soft and runny. Let stand for 5 minutes.
  5. Turn cakes out onto plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Makes 6 servings. 

Tip/s:

  • Garnish with fresh fruits, if desired.
  • Serve with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of Magnolia Ice Cream.
