EMBUTIDO ROLL OVER


Ingredients:

12 pc large loaf bread slices
2 tbsp STAR MARGARINE GARLIC
1 cup crumbled embutido
1/2 cup MAGNOLIA QUESO DE BOLA, sliced thinly
1/2 cup MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
2 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGGS, lightly beaten
1-1/4 cups Japanese (panko) breadcrumbs
cooking oil for frying

Procedure:

  1. Flatten loaf bread slices with a rolling pin. Brush one side with margarine.
  2. Place a spoonful of crumbled embutido in the center of the bread and top with cheese slices. Roll to secure filling.
  3. Coat each roll with flour, then dip in egg, then in breadcrumbs. Freeze for at least 30 minutes before fying. Deep fry each roll in hot oil. Drain and serve warm.
Makes 6 servings.
