CREAMY CHICKEN KATSU


Ingredients:

1 (500 g) pack PUREFOODS CRISP 'N JUICY CHICKEN KATSU, cooked according to package directions
2 tbsp DARI CRÈME CLASSIC
1 (100 g) pc white onion, sliced
4 cloves garlic, chopped
450 grams potatoes, cubed
1/4 cup water
1 (250 mL) pack MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE CREAM
1 (160 g) pack MAGNOLIA QUICKMELT CHEESE, grated

Procedure:

  1. Set oven toaster to high or preheat oven to 350ºF. Meanwhile, heat margarine in a pan and sauté onion and garlic until onion is tender.
  2. Add potatoes and sauté for about 5 minutes or until potatoes turn light brown. Pour water and cream. Simmer covered on low heat for 5 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
  3. Transfer chicken katsu in an oven proof dish and top with cream mixture. Top with grated cheese and bake for 5 minutes or until cheese melts and slightly browns. Rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Makes 7 servings.
(Yield: 7 pc chicken katus and 1 c sauce/1 pc katus & 2 tbsp sauce per serving)
