CREAMED ORANGE CHICKEN


Ingredients:

1 kg MAGNOLIA CHICKEN STATION BREAST FILLETS
2 pc oranges
iodized fine salt and pepper to taste
3 tbsp MAGNOLIA GOLD BUTTER SALTED
1 pc onion, sliced
1 can button mushrooms, sliced
2 tbsp MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR, dissolve in 1 cup water or stock
2 tbsp flour stock
1/4 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp thyme
1/4 tsp marjoram
1 pc bay leaf (laurel)
1 (250 mL) pack MAGNOLIA ALL-PURPOSE CREAM
1 cup cubed carrots
1 cup green peas
1/4 cup white wine
iodized fine salt and pepper

Procedure:

  1. Marinate chicken breast fillets in juice of 1 orange, salt and pepper. Heat butter then pan fry until light golden brown. Set aside.
  2. Using the same pan, saute onion and mushrooms. Add flour mixture juice of 1 orange, oregano, thyme, marjoram and bay leaf.
  3. Add cream. Add carrots and green peas. Season with white wine, salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for about 10-15 minutes to cook or until vegetable are tender.
Makes 4-5 servings.
