CLASSIC MEATLOAF


Ingredients:

1 can (210 g) PUREFOODS CHORIZO BILBAO STYLE
1 kg MONTEREY GROUND BEEF
1 cup (250 g) tomato sauce
1 cup (120 g) fine breadcrumbs
1 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGG, slightly beaten
1 pc (160 g) white onion, chopped (1 cup)
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp (0.9 g) thyme
1 clove garlic, minced (1 tsp)
2 tsp iodized fine salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp prepared mustard

Procedure:

1. Preheat oven to 180oC (350°F).
2. In a bowl, combine chorizo with beef, 3/4 cup of tomato sauce, bread crumbs, egg, onions, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, garlic, salt and pepper.
3. Place mixture into a 10 x 4-inch loaf pan.
4. In another bowl, combine brown sugar, mustard and remaining tomato sauce. Mix well.
5.With a pastry brush, brush mixture on surface of meat loaf and then, bake for 45 minutes.

Makes 8-10 servings.   
(Yield: 1 loaf (8-10 slices)/1 slice per serving)
