CLASSIC GRAVY


Ingredients:

1/4 cup MAGNOLIA GOLD BUTTER UNSALTED
1/4 cup MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
2 cups chicken stock
2 tsp soy sauce
1/4 tsp pepper

Procedure:

  1. In a pan, melt butter and mix in flour. Cook until lightly browned for 2 minutes.
  2. Add stock and bring to a boil. Simmer over low heat for 5 minutes stirring continuously or until desired consistency is achieved.
  3. Season with soy sauce and pepper.

Makes 8 servings.

(Yield: 2 cups)

Tip/s:

  • You can use beef stock if preferred.
  • If stock is not available, use 1 bouillon cube mixed with 2 cups of hot water.
