CHICKEN A LA KIEV


Ingredients:

1 kg (5 pc)
1 tsp iodized fine salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 cup MAGNOLIA GOLD BUTTER UNSALTED, cubed
1 stalk (30 g) parsley, finely chopped
4 cloves (20 g) garlic, chopped
1 cup MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
2 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGGS, beaten
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 L cooking oil

Procedure:

  1. Slice chicken breast in the center to form a square. Pound chicken with a mallet, rolling pin or a heavy bottom pan in between two sheets of plastic wrap. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Roll butter over parsley and garlic. Put butter in the middle of each chicken fillet and roll tightly using the plastic wrap. Put inside the chiller for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Coat chicken lightly with flour. Dip in egg then coat with breadcrumbs. Chill again for 5-10 minutes before frying.
  4. Preheat oil and deep-fry over medium heat for 5to 8 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot.
Makes 5 servings.
