Cheezee Siomai


  1. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl with a wooden spoon.
  2. Put one siomai wrapper between thumb and forefinger. Scoop filling into wrapper (1 tbsp). Squeeze middle of siomai to make a waist.
  3. Put siomai on greased steamer, pressing lightly to flatten bottom. Repeat with remaining mixture.
  4. Steam over high heat 5 minutes. Remove steamer from fire. Wait 20 minutes before removing from steamer so siomai wrapper does not fall off.

*For the glutinous rice: (1-1/2 cups pre soaked rice, drained) with 2 cup water in a rice cooker for 35 minutes. (Yield= 4 cups)

Makes 65 pieces.
