CARAMEL POPCORN


Ingredients:

1 bar (200 g) DARI CREME BUTTERMILK
2 cups (400 g) light brown sugar
1/2 cup (150 g) light corn syrup
1/2 tbsp (6.5 g) vanilla extract
1 tsp (4.8 g) baking soda
150 grams popcorn kernels, cooked according to package directions

Procedure:

1.      Preheat oven to 250°F.  Line two baking sheets with parchment or wax paper. Set aside.
2.      In a pan, melt margarine. Add brown sugar, light corn syrup and vanilla extract. Cook for 3  minutes over medium heat until boiling.
3.      Add baking soda and stir until foamy. Pour over popcorn and continue stirring until well coated.
4.      Spread popcorn on baking sheets and bake for 45 minutes or until set and crisp. Cool then  break into pieces and serve.
5.      Store excess popcorn in an airtight container.

Makes 6 servings.
(Yield: 12 cups/ 2 cups per serving)
