TUNA INASAL STYLE


Ingredients:

1/2 cup (90 g) STAR MARGARINE CLASSIC, melted
1/4 cup (106 g) achuete seeds
2 cans (180 g each) tuna in vegetable oil
6 cloves garlic, minced (2 tbsp)
8 pc (104 g) calamansi, juice squeezed (1/4 cup)
1/2 tsp iodized fine salt
1/8 tsp pepper

Procedure:

  1. Melt margarine in a pan and add achuete seeds. Cook over low heat until color of margarine changes. Drain and discard seeds.
  2. Sauté garlic in achuete oil then add tuna, calamansi juice, salt and pepper. 

Makes 5 to 6 servings.

Tip/s:

  • Add sili or hot sauce for some heat.
  • Extend dish by adding fried tokwa cubes.
