CAESAR SALAD WITH FRENCH BREAD CROUTONS


Ingredients:

8 slices French bread, sliced diagonally, 1/4 inch thick
1/4 cup DARI CRÈME MARGARINE CLASSIC, softened
1/4 cup MAGNOLIA QUICKMELT CHEESE , grated

Dressing:

1 tbsp minced garlic
2 pc Anchovy fillets, canned (or 2 tbsp bagoong balayan)
1 tsp prepared mustard
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1-1/2 tbsp lemon juice
1/4 cup MAGNOLIA CHEDDAR CHEESE, grated
pinch ground black pepper
Dash of hot sauce (optional)
200 grams Lettuce greens, cut into bite-size pieces
1/2 cup PUREFOODS HONEY CURED BACON, pan-fried and chopped

Procedure:

French Bread Croutons: 1. Spread Dari Crème Classic on one side of French bread slices. Sprinkle with grated Magnolia Quickmelt cheese. Toast for 5 minutes or until cheese melts. Remove from heat and set aside. Dressing: 2. Combine garlic and anchovies in a bowl. Mash and blend well. Add mustard mayonnaise and Worcestershire. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and lemon juice. Add cheddar cheese and season with pepper and hot sauce. Set aside. Assembly: 3. Upon serving, toss lettuce greens in dressing. Transfer to a serving bowl and top with fried bacon. Garnish with French bread croutons. Makes 4 servings.
