BROWNIES


Ingredients:

1 cup MAGNOLIA BAKER'S BEST MARGARINE
1 cup cocoa powder
2-1/2 cups sugar
5 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGGS
1 cup chopped walnuts
1-1/4 cups MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp iodized fine salt
confectioner's sugar

Procedure:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9" x 13" rectangular baking pan with aluminum foil. Set aside.
  2. Heat margarine and cocoa powder until smooth. Remove from heat. With wire whisk or spoon, beat in sugar and eggs until well blended. Stir in walnuts, flour, vanilla and salt.
  3. Evenly spread mixture in baking pan. Bake 45 to 50 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Makes 40 pieces.
