BREADED FISH FILLETS WITH EASY TARTAR SAUCE


Ingredients:

1/2 kg tilapia or dory fillets, skin removed
1/2 pc (75 g) lemon, juiced
1/2 tsp iodized fine salt
pinch pepper
1/2 cup (60 g) MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
2 tbsp (14 g) cornstarch
1 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGG, beaten
1/2 cup (60 g) breadcrumbs
1/4 cup cooking oil

SAUCE:

1/2 cup (115 g) MAGNOLIA REAL MAYONNAISE
1 tbsp (16 g) sweet pickle relish
15 grams white onion, chopped (1 tbsp)
1 tbsp (9 g) capers, chopped

Procedure:

  1. Marinate fish with lemon juice, salt and pepper.
  2. Bread fish with flour and cornstarch, and then dip in egg and dredge in breadcrumbs.
  3. Pan-fry until golden brown. Set aside on a plate with paper towels to drain excess oil.
  4. Make tartar sauce by combining mayonnaise with pickles, onions and capers.
  5. Serve fish with tartar sauce.

Makes 4 servings.
